Mary Yaeger

Since completing her MFA in Textile Arts and Costume Design from UC Davis in 1996, Mary has been designing and selling her beaded designs and project kits at craft shows throughout the U.S. and on her website, maryyaegerdesign.com.

Mary’s designs combine bead weaving with a wide array of textile, jewelry-making and mixed media techniques. Her natural curiosity and keen sense of observation have led her to constantly experiment. She creates designs based on her original weave patterns, with boho and vintage flavors.

Beaded Christmas Ornament Cover

October Bazaar Workshop!

Instructor: Renée Raymond

Beaded Christmas Ornament Cover

Express your creativity this holiday season by making your own beaded Christmas ornament cover. In this class, you’ll learn to craft this lovely, lacy beaded cover using only seed beads, a needle and thread. To make this beauty, you’ll use a circular “Horizontal Netting” stitch – an easy to learn technique which results in an all over fishnet design. For the finishing touch, you’ll add crystal fringe drops which add movement and sparkle to the piece when draped over an ornament. Once you learn how to make an ornament cover, you’ll no doubt want to create several in different colors for your holiday décor!
